Stage Combat for Commedia

Most, if not all, Commedia Characters have a penchant for violence. Learn how to get in touch with your Commedia Characters aggressive side with a crash course in stage combat from local theater artist Jesse Garlick. Jesse will teach you the basics of stage combat including how to punch, slap, fall and chock all while following the number one rule of stage combat-- being safe. We will then apply these lessons to a combat phrase that you and a fellow stock character will act out together. By the end of your time in this workshop, you will be slapping each other silly and creating memorable Commedia Lazzi's that are sure to delight as well as thrill!
