Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 7 PM THE TWO LOOK-ALIKES (Li Due Simili) The Boston Commedia Lab presents a free Commedia dell'Arte performance, showcasing its work studying and improvising on a late 1500s Italian scenario titled "Li Due Simili" from the Corsinana Collection in Rome. The plot draws inspiration from Plautus' Latin comedy "The Menaechmi" and was later adapted by both William Shakespeare and Carlo Goldoni.

ALL'ITALIANA OPEN MIC - WOMEN AUTHORS EDITION 

All'italiana - Boston Theater Company will be closing the month of March as Women's History Month inviting you to an open mic evening dedicated to Italian women authors. Feel free to share a passage of your favorite Italian female writer, from Renaissance artists like Vittoria Colonna e Gaspara Stampa to contemporary voices such as Grazia Deledda, Alda Merini, Elena Ferrante, Dacia Maraini... there are so many to choose from!

Come along to read, recite, or simply relax and enjoy an evening in good company.

If you have taken at least one dance class with Carmen in the past, please join us in this intermediate workshop made of two meetings. You will have a chance to learn more and practice Pizzica and Tammurriata, having a blast with the upbeat music and energetic steps.

Our students are native and non-native Italian speakers who will join forces to showcase the work they have done during this past year.

A renowned theater author and director needs to put on a new production... what should she do? A lively ensemble of characters attempts to capture her interest by showcasing scenes from famous Italian playwrights, from Benni to Goldoni, from Maraini to Pirandello.

The show is in Italian. It runs about 90 minutes with no intermission.

End-of-year demonstration of the Italian Theater Lab Livello Avanzato.

 At SomArt at the Hive, 561 Windsor St 4th Floor, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

This year our advanced students will perform an excerpt from their last year's work on "Se Una Notte d'Inverno... Un Attore" loosely inspired by "Se Una Notte D'Inverno Un Viaggiatore" by Italian author Italo Calvino, staging, acting and directing selected scenes ("libri" in Calvino's novel). The second part of the show consists of a collection of scenes and monologues that the actors selected, directed, and performed.

The show is in Italian. It runs about 2 hours with one intermission.
