​​Ongoing BOSTON COMMEDIA LAB - Chiara Durazzini, Pazzi Lazzi's artistic director, is organizing an informal Commedia dell'Arte Lab in order to offer an opportunity to deepen the training and the study of Commedia to participants who have already attended at least one of her Intensive Commedia dell'Arte Workshops.

Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 7 PM LI DUE SIMILI - THE TWO LOOK-ALIKES The Boston Commedia Lab presents a free Commedia dell'Arte performance, showcasing its work studying and improvising on a late 1500s Italian scenario from the Corsinana Collection. The plot draws inspiration from Plautus' Latin comedy "The Menaechmi" and was later adapted by both William Shakespeare and Carlo Goldoni. In English with some Italian. Free and Open to All.

If you have taken at least one dance class with Carmen in the past, please join us in this intermediate workshop made of two meetings. You will have a chance to learn more and practice Pizzica and Tammurriata, having a blast with the upbeat music and energetic steps.

End-of-year demonstration of the Italian Theater Lab Livello Base Madrelingua e Non-Madrelingua

Our students are native and non-native Italian speakers who will join forces to showcase the work they have done during this past year.

A renowned theater author and director needs to put on a new production... what should she do? A lively ensemble of characters attempts to capture her interest by showcasing scenes from famous Italian playwrights, from Benni to Goldoni, from Maraini to Pirandello.

The show is in Italian. It runs about 90 minutes with no intermission.

The event is sponsored by Com.It.Es. Boston and is under the Auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Boston

Free and Open to All - Audience space is very limited - Registration mandatory 

Friday May 16th, 2025 at 7:00 PM  SE UNA NOTTE D'INVERNO... E ALTRE STORIE  

End-of-year demonstration of the Italian Theater Lab Livello Avanzato.

 At SomArt at the Hive, 561 Windsor St 4th Floor, Somerville, MA 02143, USA

This year our advanced students will perform an excerpt from their last year's work on "Se Una Notte d'Inverno... Un Attore" loosely inspired by "Se Una Notte D'Inverno Un Viaggiatore" by Italian author Italo Calvino, staging, acting and directing selected scenes ("libri" in Calvino's novel). The second part of the show consists of a collection of scenes and monologues that the actors selected, directed, and performed.

The show is in Italian. It runs about 2 hours with one intermission.

The event is sponsored by Com.It.Es. Boston and is under the Auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Boston.

Free and Open to All - Audience space is very limited - Registration mandatory.

We are closing March - Women's History Month with a last run of our show against violence on women IO MI CANTO DA SOLA - I SING MY OWN SONG.
